This is so fucking DIY. Totally shit recording, but their hearts are in the right place so that pretty much makes up for it. Musically this should appeal to people into both folk & experimental noise. Good stuff. Pray for a better recording next time...please?

Vlor are a duo consisting of Remora's Brian John Mitchell on guitar & Russell Halasz on guitar & bass. Though they are quite experimental at times, Vlor never stray from their keen pop sensibilities on this excellent cassette release. Though very lo-fi - most of the songs here were recorded in one take using a hand held recorder - it's not hard to find the passion in these dark, enchanting instrumentals. Fans of Flying Saucer Attack, especially the early stuff, would probably dig Luxate.
