about

Recorded in 2012 at Shampoo Horn in Milwaukee, What Does The Scanner See? is an improvisational collaboration of five musicians – Megan Karls (Cascade String Quartet, Great Falls Symphony) on violin, Kyle Arthur Miller (Haunter) on electric guitar, Eric Perreault (Andrew Weathers Ensemble) on concertina, Erik Schoster (He Can Jog) on computer, & Andrew Weathers (Andrew Weathers Ensemble) on acoustic guitar. There are no bandleaders & no dominant instruments; all flow together effortlessly to form slumberous & organic drones. Named after graffiti that may or may not have been a reference to Philip K. Dick, What Does the Scanner See is as mysterious & deep as the song of freedom from Radio Free Albemuth.
