about

"American artist's follow-up to ‘Amerse’, where he continues to wrench as many different noises from his instrument (the guitar) as possible. You would have thought that would be limiting, but Brian Mitchell seems to have no problems. Cyclic ambient laid back, then riffy and distorted somewhere between the Stooges and the Swans."
~ Bizarre Fanzine

This came out in 1999 & by 2000 I let it go out of print. I'd come to a point where I realized I was halfway between a rock & roll casualty & a caricature of a failed artist. I needed to re-invent myself. Rediscover what was important to me or drown. It took a while, but I like to think I eventually made it back above the surface. More than an album, this is just a document of a period of my life. Was I an outsider musician or just a pill popping drunk? Does it matter? At least I made it out to the other side.
