Over the past 15 years Michael Wood has worked in nearly every aspect of the music industry. A musician, a label owner, a club owner, a roadie, a record store owner, a music journalist, a booking agent. So we’re pleased that Silber gets to present a compilation he’s put together of some of the bands he’s working with in his current venture Broken Sound Booking (where he represents quite a few Silber artists).
Broken Hearts Broken Sounds is dominated by artists with links to the always strong music scenes of the Carolinas showcasing genres from shoegaze to Americana to experimental music to drone to pop. Eclectic in the truest sense of the word, this collection reminds us of when friends would mail a mix tape showcasing their burgeoning & diverse local scene from across the country.
