Originally formed in 2001 by Brian John Mitchell (Remora, Vlor, Small Life Form) in a response to the lack of noise rock & no wave bands in the south, The Undermasks was revitalized in 2019 with frequent collaborators Martin Newman (Plumerai, Goddakk, The Veldt) & Rowland Yeargan (Konbanwa, House of Demians, Sportsmanship). Driven by vocal loops & sub-Stoogian riffs & recorded in a condemned house in a single afternoon, this is the sound of a muscular beast shedding its skin to show its true form.
